Canadian Studies

Grant Program

The Understanding Canada / Canadian Studies Grant Program has been discontinued. No competition will be held in 2012-13.

The Canadian Embassy appreciates the research and activities conducted by Canadianists throughout the U.S. Their work has played an important role in promoting knowledge about and study of Canada and Canada-U.S. relations, and we regret that we are no longer able to directly support these efforts.

Faculty and graduate students may want to consider scholarship opportunities through the Fulbright Canada program.

Note: Grants awarded during the 2011-2012 cycle will continue to be disbursed. The Canadian Embassy will communicate directly with all 2011-2012 grant recipients.
