The Consulate General of Canada in St. Petersburg has closed to the public. Services previously offered by the Consulate General have been transferred to the Embassy of Canada in Moscow.

Visa and Immigration office contact details

mosco-idv@international.gc.ca – to request an appointment, if you are a diplomat or official going on official business to Canada, wishing to have your application submitted directly at the Embassy. Please note that this address is strictly reserved for diplomats and officials. All other enquiries sent to this address will be deleted without a response.

Security – Getting into the Embassy

When you visit the Embassy, you must present the original of your internal national passport or other suitable identity documents bearing photographs. When you visit the Immigration Section, you must also present an invitation letter from the Immigration Section requesting you to come in person.

Luggage, such as backpacks, suitcases or packages larger than a standard handbag, are not allowed into the Embassy. The Embassy offers no storage facilities and applicants carrying such items will not be allowed entry. If you are travelling with luggage, please secure it elsewhere before approaching the Embassy.

Applicants are also discouraged from bringing mobile phones or other electronic devices, such as Blackberries, iPods, PDAs and remote-entry automobile keys, to the Embassy.  Holders of such items will be delayed for searches and examination. 

Please note that food and drinks are not permitted within the Embassy. Still water is available in the waiting area.

For emergency assistance after hours, call the Embassy of Canada in Moscow and follow the instructions. You can also call the Emergency Watch and Response Centre in Ottawa toll-free at 810-800-201-41012 (this number may not be accessible from all locations) or call collect 613-996-8885.

Countries of Accreditation

The Embassy covers the countries of Russia, Armenia and Uzbekistan, and also provides visa services to residents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
