We provide these services to residents, nationals or persons legally admitted to Armenia, Belarus*, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

Important announcement

NEW visa application centres (VACs) opened in 2013.

Find out how to submit your temporary resident or permanent resident travel document application through your nearest VAC

As of September 4, 2013, you may need to give your biometrics (fingerprints and photograph) when submitting an application for a visitor visa. This new requirement affects citizens from 29 countries and one territory.

You can give your biometrics at your nearest VAC.

Please note that residents of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus have the option of sending their passports for visa issuance and collecting them by express mail courier. For persons residing in other countries (including Armenia, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan) there are restrictions in sending original passports across the Russian border to and from these countries. Applicants residing in these countries and applying by mail or online will have to make their own arrangements to submit and collect their passports if the Embassy notifies them that the positive decision has been taken. Our office will not send passports by mail/courier.

* Citizens or residents of Belarus may apply to the Immigration Section of the Embassy of Canada in Moscow, Russia or in Warsaw, Poland.
