We provide these services to residents, nationals or persons legally admitted to Armenia, Belarus*, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
New in application submission process
As of Wednesday, 28 May 2014, you may submit your visa application online or through your nearest VAC.
As of September 4, 2013, you may need to give your biometrics (fingerprints and photograph) when submitting an application for a visitor visa. This new requirement affects citizens from 29 countries and one territory. You can give your biometrics at your nearest VAC.
How to retrieve your passport for temporary use
If you need your passport for travelling outside the country of your residence, we can release it for temporary use at your signed written request. You should send your request through the Visa Application Centre (VAC) that initially submitted your application. You cannot come in person to the Embassy to collect your passport.
* Citizens or residents of Belarus not applying online may apply to the Immigration Section of the Embassy of Canada in Warsaw, Poland or to a VAC.
